Cabinet Locks [17 Nov 2006|10:52am]

I thank to my husband's friend who do the cabinet locks. They are real. They are awesome. They are lifesaver. They are BEST in the world more than any cabinet locks at store you ever seen.

I suggest you to get them. They are very pricey beacuse it is success to protect away from kids even babies.

I love those so much. They are in my house installed already.

No more worries about those. You will have remote to control to turn it on when you are not use in kitchen. You will have remote to control to turn it off when you are in kitchen and need to cook or whatever.

Believe me.

Abigail is still in the hospital. Hooked up to 2 IVs now, and antibiotics through her IV.) Her fever is still high at different times during the day, and still hasn't fully settled down, although it isn't as bad as it was. They tested her for meningitis, we haven't had those results come back yet for some reason. They have her in isolation, because they don't know what is going on, or how contageous she is, if at all. I haven't caught it yet, which is maybe a good sign because I catch EVERYTHING.

That's about all I have time to say. We'll see what happens in th enext few days.

I had my first baby on December 3, 2005 and he weight 9 lbs. It was an easy childbirth because I had an epidural and they induced me. He was born at 3:39pm and the actual labor only last about two and a half hours. I really want another one but I may wait a year or so. He is growing so fast but he still spits up a lot. Does anyone have this problem? Sometimes it seems like it's a fountain or something. I've talked to his pediatrician about it but she acted like it was normal. It just seems like way too much although he is gaining weight and everything should I be concerned?

Abigail had her 2 month shots today (3). She didn't seem to mind the first one much, but she screamed for the last 2. I could have almost cried as much as she did.

That was just after 10 this morning. Its 12:30 am now, and she seems to have a bit of a fever, and has for a few hours now. Is there anything I can do for her or give her? I don't really want to give her anything because I know it isn't great for them to have medicine at her age, but I don't want to leave her like this. I don't have a number to contact her doctor until she comes in at 9 tomorrow morning, and she didn't tell me anything about a fever or anything that could be caused by the needles. Is it normal for this to happen? And if anything, what can I give her or do for her? She doesn't want to sleep, but she doesn't want to stay awake either, if that makes sense.

X-posted to a few different places.

Any suggestions on what I can give Abigail for a fever? Shes had one for 2 1/2 days. I'm guessing she has an ear ache too, because she keeps trying to put her hand up by her left ear, and it started yesterday afternoon so its not from the airplane. Yesterday even though she had the fever and was cranky, she was eating fine, but now since this afternoon when we got here, she hasn't wanted to nurse much. She'll nurse for 10, maybe 15 minutes, but then start crying and doesn't want any more.

Fertility Question [26 Jan 2006|12:19am]

I want to get pregnant agian soon and I was wondering if anyone else had closely spaced children and if they had any advice as to spacing or encouragement about when to start trying. I had my daughter 2 weeks ago and most people think I am nuts to consider having another one anytime soon but these are my concerns about waiting:
1. I had 9 years and 6 miscarriages in between my two girls.
2. I had to have extensive hormone therapy due to early menopause. I am only 29 but I had the levels of a 40 year old. I had to take 12 pills a day to prevent miscarriage and it would cost over $400 out of pocket to do that again. My hormones levels without medication are currently perfect.
3. I am nursing and with my other child I had no period or ovulation for over a year. I have done some reading on the subject and it seems that if I want to do it I need to get pregnant in the next 2 months or after she is 6 months old. I was told by the fertility doctor and the midwife I have at most a year to get pregnant without help.

My concern is that if I wait until she is 6 months old it may not happen in those 4-6 months and I will have missed out on the opportunity. Someone please tell me I am not nuts!

I have posted all of the birth photos on my webpage finally. I have dial-up so it took several days but I wanted everyone to get a chance to see them. We are both doing well. She will be 2 weeks tomorrow and not only has she regained her birth weight but she is almost 1/2 pound heavier. She is nursing very well and is very alert. I gained 10 pounds during my pregnancy because of my nausea and I have lost 30 already between the birth and breastfeeding.

cross posted everywhere :)

For someone who delivered almost 10 hours ago, I'm feeling pretty damn good right now. Neither my labor or delivery were horridly painful or long, but I'll get into that in the birth story coming soon. For now, I'll leave you with this :)

Abigail Nevaeh Elizabeth

6 pounds 4 ounces
19 1/4 inches long

I'm fine, and she is perfectly healthy and doing wonderful. We'll be home tomorrow morning, so you can expect some pictures tomorrow night :)

Hey [05 Jan 2006|09:20am]

I gave a birth to a handsome son, Timothy Adam Hartley on December 12th, 2005 @ 9:12 PM. He weighed 6 lbs 6 oz and 20 3/4 inches long! I had my water broke when I dropped off my oldest son to school. I came home after an hour later, had contraction. I stayed home for a while with contraction. My husband came home from work around lunch time. He took me to the hospital. They checked me. I was 2 CM after a week with doctor appointment (I was 1 CM). I stayed in there for a while. They decided to send me home. How disappointed I was! My husband took me out to eat dinner @ Chick-Fila. I had contraction all the way. Then we went home. I had contraction so bad. I had to wait until it got serious 1 to 3 mins apart. My husband took me back to the hospital. They checked me again. I was 7 to 8 CM. Oh shit... They admitted me and had to rush me into labor and delivery room. I requested for epidural. They came in immediately! They have tried to install it. Nothing work! I told them, never mind about it. No time for it. I told them that I think I had to push! They said sure! Laid down and got to ready to PUSH! I pushed few times in few minutes. He came out of new world! He looks like half of his dad and mom. :-)

Ainsley River was born at 1:17 PM January 3rd after 11 hours of labor. Born on her due date, she weighs 9 pounds, 4 oz and is 21 inches long. She was born in the home birth we wanted, is gorgeous and latches pretty well, even if I have to hold her head in place with both hands.

41 weeks today, no baby, and I'm still in the hospital. This is getting frustrating.

I'm not due til January 3rd, but I woke up having contractions, and I've been having them on and off all day. Nothing regular, and nothing particularly painful, and I'm not making any other progress, so I don't think it will be tonight or tomorrow night. No tax deduction here.

[30 Dec 2005|05:01am]

It's 4:00 AM where I live. I haven't gotten to sleep yet and I probably won't within the acceptable time. I used to sleep for hours and hours. I could go to bed at 9:00 in the evening and not wake up til noon. Now that I'm pregnant, I can't seem to sleep at all. It's not so bad though, like Bright Eyes said, "When everything is quiet, I can be my own best friend."

I've only got 4 days until my due date...ah! There's so much that needs to be done prior to the baby's arrival that hasn't been done yet. For instance, the baby needs a room. Even if we're planning to co-sleep or at least co-room, I think it's important to have a place in your house that's just for you. I have the rocking chair and several bookshelves to put in the room, and I'm putting some favorite books. Plus, the room needs to be painted, even though it's a pretty skyblue color, I want something brighter and in primary colors. The baby's single outfit (a sleeper. We chose not to buy anything else until the baby is here and has a gender) needs to be washed (I've been sleeping with it for three months now) and mental preparations need to be made. Likewise, our room needs to be sterilized in preparation for the delivery, or at least we need some clean sheets. Lucky for us, first babies tend on the late side, so we've probably got time, but I can't help feeling pathetically unprepared.

I'm almost done my pregnancy, with only six days left until my due date.

I always wanted to have a child, to be pregnant and then be a mother, but I'm starting to get nervous, and scared. I'm worried about so many things that I can't even start to list, which basically end up being that I don't know if I'll be able to be the mother I want to be. It scares me, especially since I went through most of this pregnancy without a second thought. Everything was shiny up until now, at which point I'm now thinking, "Am I really cut out to do this?"

Am I crazy? Or are there other people here who are just as terrified?

Names [28 Dec 2005|11:12am]

What names are you considering/have you picked out? We're down to five: Ainsley and Mackenzie for girls and William, Christopher and Jacob for boys. I think if we have a girl, it'll most likely be Ainsley though, because I like the sound with the middle name we've picked out and our last name.

Thank God for laptops. <3

Well guys, as some of you already know, I was admitted last night, and I'm being kept in the hospital until the baby comes. Hopefully this munchkin decides to make his/her appearance soon, I want to get the hell out of here. Hospitals bring back way too many bad things for me, so I hate being here. No baby as of yet, and no sign of baby anytime soon. Hopefully something changes, and quick.

I'll let you know more when I know more myself.

I just created this journal, and I thought I'd join some communities, possibly to meet new friends and as a base for conversation and advice.

My name is Kaylee. I'm due January 3, 2006, with my first baby/third pregnancy. I feel like I'm ready any day now, but we all know that babies run on their own schedule. This baby has been stubborn my entire pregnancy, and only let us see parts of him/her/it, so we don't know its' gender. That's okay, though.

Oh, I just realized I talked about "we" for that whole paragraph without specifying who "we" is. I've been married to my husband (we've been dating for 3 years now) for 3 months now. Wedded bliss. :)

That's all. I'll be chatting with you alot soon! :)
